Certified Therapy Animals

We incorporate certified therapy animals
into all of our award-winning programs.
We bring safe, friendly dogs into schools
and elsewhere and teach children how to
be safe around dogs. We offer humane
education to teachers, parents and social
workers. We also visit nursing home
facilities with our therapy dogs. Our
dogs are all certified through the Delta
Society
(www.DeltaSociety.org)
All About
Us
R-and below- A student reads to Woody, a certified
therapy dog, during part of our READING TO DOGS
program. Studies show that children who are reluctant
readers in a classroom setting will willingly and happily
read to a happy dog! For Woody's part, she's just lovin'
the story! Woody crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge but
we will always keep her in our hearts.

Here are some memories of Animal Assisted Therapy Visits
Left-Teddy visits a senior center,
Right, Eli, the retired racing
greyhound, enjoys his second career
much better!
Below is Felipe, a breeder dog
rescued from a puppy mill and
fostered at Animals 101 until he
could find a suitable home.
A litter of neonatal kittens were
fostered by Animals 101 until
they were old enough to be
adopted. All found good homes!
This Maine Coon Kitten was
abandoned by her owner and
found her way to Animals 101
where she was adopted to a
wonderful home.
Below are photos from our
Christmas Eve visit at Tequesta
Terrace ALF. With us are Delta
Dogs Murphy and Tabitha, as well
as Dumpling and Matthew who
came along for the visit! Birgit Edler
